*BAKED GOODS, DESSERTS & CONFECTIONERY – COMFORT OR CONSEQUENCE?*

I’ve always loved breads and sweets — sandwiches, pizza, vada pav, desserts — you name it. But lately, my body reacts instantly after consuming baked goods or confectionery: sore throat, heaviness, nausea. That made me pause and reflect.

Are these foods really healthy?
The answer is: It depends on what we choose.

Most refined white breads, multigrain breads, and so-called “brown breads” easily available in the market are often unhealthy due to heavy processing, added sugars, high sodium content, and even artificial coloring (like caramel coloring used to make bread appear brown). These can lead to blood sugar spikes, gas and bloating, weight gain, and nutritional deficiencies.
Healthier alternatives include:
Whole-grain breads,  Sprouted breads,  Gluten-free breads (when needed),  Sourdough breads

The same logic applies to desserts and confectionery. They are generally unhealthy unless prepared using better ingredients like dates, honey, or jaggery, and even then, they should be consumed in moderation.
Excessive intake of desserts and confectionery can result in weight gain and obesity, increased risk of lifestyle diseases, tooth decay and nutritional deficiencies.

Food isn’t the enemy—mindless choices are.
Listen to your body and choose wisely.

BHAI, LOG ROZ BAHAR KA KHATE KAISE HAI? 🤔

Of lately during travels, I’m craving for GHAR KA KHANA. I love travelling and trying new cuisines and varieties of food. Of course I get tempted by sweet, oily, unhealthy food (noodles, momos, pizza, desserts etc.) but the moment I’m at a buffet or ordering à la carte, I just don’t feel like eating much.
And when I do give in to junk, my body reacts immediately — heaviness, discomfort, nausea. Guess this is what happens when your body starts choosing HEALTH over HYPE. 💪
